Housings for AC/DC bulbs include:
- a screw-in base that is compatible with common light bulb sockets, such E26 or B22
- a heat sink to release the LED chips' heat
- A lens or diffuser to uniformly disperse light
- In certain variants, a driver circuit controls the current going to the LED chips.
- LED bulbs are frequently offered separately from the housings of AC/DC bulbs. This saves you from having to purchase a brand-new LED bulb in order to replace a burned-out one. If you're crafty, you may even construct your own unique LED bulbs utilizing AC/DC bulb housings.
